THE MAIN CALYPSO’S GOALS

  • Control EMV and ID card issuance on different types desktop personalization devices from different vendors. 
  • Card’s microprocessor personalization via contact and contactless interface. 
  • Support wide range of personalization operations such as: embossing, indent printing, graphics printing, laser engraving, magnetic stripe reading/writing. The set of personalization operations depends on the capabilities of a particular device. 
  • Control card lamination and topping.
  • Interaction with external information systems to obtain personalized data and upload card personalization logs. 
  • Manage operator’s actions protocols and card personalization logs.

CALYPSO’S FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES

  • Calipso system supports such personalization devices as:
    • Laser engraving devices from IXLA company;
    • Entrust company personalization devices;
    • CIM company personalization devices.
  • Support of other personalization devices types is possible per the request. 
  • Operator access control using operator authentication. Differentiation of operator access to program functions by operator’s roles. Logging of operator actions. 
  • Manage the unlimited set Card’s and Job’s setups, that describe personalization fields and production process parameters. 
  • The following types of graphic printing fields are supported :
    • Static and dynamic text;
    • Static and dynamic images;
    • Barcodes;
    • Laminated fields of any shape.

CALYPSO’S FEATURES

  • Calling the external programs to decrypt or encrypt personalization data before processing or transferring it to external systems; 
  • Using script functions for data correction/check before the card issuance starts 
  • The flexible structure of describing fields and records in input personalization files, as well as the ability to describe fields with binary data; 
  • Limited access linked to operator’s role to reissue of successfully printed cards; 
  • Intuitive record search procedure for a card issue in the dataset of a single job (batch), filters can be used; 
  • Interrupting and continuing the card personalization procedure within the same job (batch).
